Touched and grateful to become The Hudson Review's new Dance Critic, following in the footsteps of the distinguished critic Marcia B. Siegel. It's such a pleasure to join this wonderful and long-lived publication, cofounded in 1948 by the poet and editor Frederick Morgan and now led, with infinite grace and intelligence, by the writer and editor Paula Deitz.



Congratulations! I loved reading the work of Marcia Siegel at university. I was studying the first English translation of French ballet notation... and her insights on the act of dancing illuminated the project.
