The National Ballet of Ukraine, based at the beautiful Kyiv Opera House, is still very much alive, and coming soon to New York's Fall for Dance Festival, where they will perform Alexei Ratmansky's "Wartime Elegy." As one of the dancers told me, performing abroad is a wonderful parenthesis for them from the war.
